Textile Giant Rehber Denim Tekstil Faces Bankruptcy Amid Economic Crisis

One of the sectors most affected by the economic crisis is the textile industry. Due to high costs, taxes, and expenses, many companies continue to struggle through tough times. Companies that cannot withstand these challenges are raising the bankruptcy flag.

According to Economide News, the latest example of this situation is the textile giant Rehber Denim Tekstil İthalat İhracat Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi in Van.

The textile giant of Van received a one-year grace period after applying for concordat, and creditors were invited to declare their claims. The concordat commissioners Mehmet Aygün and Ulaş Koray Milanlıoğlu completed their investigations on the company’s debts. During this period, negotiations on the concordat project will be held with creditors.

DETAILS OF THE MEETING ANNOUNCED

• Ordinary Creditors Meeting: March 18, 2025, Tuesday from 11:00 to 12:00 at the Cevat Aktaş Mediation Center in Van İpekyolu.
• Pledge Creditors Meeting: On the same day from 13:30 to 14:30 at the same center.

DOCUMENT REVIEW PROCESS FOR 7 DAYS

Creditors can examine the documents at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University seven days before the meeting. In addition, creditors were reminded to have the necessary documents with them before attending the meeting. For claims based on bills of exchange, original and photocopies of the bills are requested to be submitted.

POWER OF ATTORNEY MUST BE PREPARED BEFORE THE MEETING

The attachments that occur after the meeting will be accepted in accordance with the relevant articles of the Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law. Furthermore, creditors were instructed to prepare their power of attorney or proxies before attending the meeting.
